Delete your account and data

You are always in control of your data in SomEdSer. You can delete individual study sets, clear everything stored on your device, or ask us to delete your whole account. This page explains each option and what happens to your data.

Delete a single study set

In the app’s library, open a document and choose Delete. This removes the document, the file you uploaded, and the study set generated from it from our servers, and from your device.

Clear data on your device

In the app go to Settings → clear local data to remove the study sets and study progress cached on your device. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data.

Delete your whole account

To delete your account and all the data associated with it, email hello@somedser.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my SomEdSer account”. We will verify the request and action it within 30 days, and confirm when it is done.

What gets deleted

• your account and email address;
• every document you uploaded and the files behind them;
• every study set generated for you; and
• study data stored on your device (once you clear it or uninstall the app).

We may retain a limited amount of information where the law requires it, or briefly within routine encrypted backups, after which it is deleted. We do not keep your study content to train AI models, and our default AI provider does not use it for training. See our Privacy Policy for full details on retention and your rights.
